Ram Charan Tej’s Polo team has won the prestigious Bhopal-Pataudi Polo Cup 2011 which was held in New Delhi.
“My team RC polo won the pataudi cup in Delhi. I dedicate this cup to the Nawab of pataudi (tiger). My love to Saif Ali Khan and his family,” said Ramcharan.Charan had bought the Hyderabad Polo and Riding Club earlier this year which shows his passion towards the sport and he had even stated that his team would take part in Polo National Championship.
The entire family of Pataudi graced the Bhopal-Pataudi Polo 2011 cup final match at Jaipur Polo ground in New Delhi. Saif Ali Khan, his mom Sharmila Tagore, sisters Soha Ali Khan & Saba Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor who is going to tie the knot with the actor early next year. This tourney was held in the memory of Mansur Ali Khan Pataudi (Bollywood Hero Saif Ali Khan’s father), who died in September this year. This is the first time in 16 years that Mansur Ali Khan Pataudi has not attended the tournament.
“This tournament means a lot to me,” said Saif Ali Khan, who promised to make it even bigger next year.
Charan had bought this team just few months back and now also owns RC polo and riding club, in hyderabad.
His fiancee Upasana Kamineni has keen interest in this sport and charan’s polo club is close to upasana’s private farm house.
